My duties include providing education and support to homeowners and horticulture related businesses. Horticulture includes many areas – lawns, landscapes, vegetables, fruits, and flowers. I train and work with Douglas County Extension Master Gardeners, who volunteer their time to help distribute horticultural information throughout the county. I also get to help with the 4-H horticulture program. Prior to working for extension, I worked as a landscaper, but I feel that educating others is the real key to improving quality of life.
