Health & Wellness Highlight

Health Fair Higlights

Our Community Health and Wellness Team – Community Health and Wellness Agent and SNAP-Ed nutrition Educator participated in 2 health fairs over the past weekends. “Embrace Eudora” and “Be Well Baldwin” were wellness events focused on providing free resources for families in Douglas County communities. The events were designed to educate, inform, and encourage the community to benefit from an array of health and wellness resources, health screenings, family services enrollment, and more. Our team had information about nutrition education programs and the overall services provided by K-State Research and Extension.

SNAP-Ed Highlights

On May 10, 2024 our SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator, Sofia D., was able to attend and share what she does with 3 classes at Hillcrest Elementary School PTO! Youth were able to learn about what she studied and how it applies to her current job! She wrapped it up by doing a story time about a hungry little insect!
